Kicking the tires on Cycles

I usually do most of my texturing and rendering via Blender’s default rendering engine. However, I’ve been messing around with Cycles a bit. There are definitely some pros and cons to both depending on what one is attempting to achieve. Both paths definitely have their own significant advantages. This is a shader node setup mimicking plastic.

It’s definitely been a while since I’ve made something in 3D. Years ago I always had my nose to the screen in someone’s 3D application. However, of late, I’ve been spending most of my time coding.┬áThe change of pace was definitely nice.
